Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP)
NLP is the art and science of human excellence. NLP is a powerful set of strategies, techniques and perspectives to help you clearly identify what you want, and how to organize yourself to achieve it. NLP is well known for helping people make changes very quickly so you can be more effective in every area of your life – physically, emotionally, mentally, socially and spiritually.
“Neuro” refers to the brain and nervous system. “Linguistic” refers to language and representational systems – how we represent our experiences to ourselves and others. “Programming” refers to the sequence of thoughts, feelings and actions that lead to an outcome. NLP explores the relationship between the mind and language and how that dynamic affects our body and behavior to produce results in the world.
NLP offers skills, strategies and techniques to be able overcome limitations that interfere with achieving your outcomes. You can develop greater flexibility to be able to respond to life’s challenges more resourcefully and improve your performance in every arena of your life.
NLP helps to enrich your “map” or model of the world so that you can expand your ability to be at choice with your thoughts, feelings and behaviors. NLP also greatly enhances your communication skills and helps you to understand people and their behavior in more skillful ways. NLP gives you the opportunity to have higher quality interactions and relationships with others, both personally and professionally.
NLP is fundamentally a method for modeling
human excellence. When someone does something exceptionally well, NLP provides the tools to analyze how a person produces
exceptional results and creates a model for that so it can be shared with others and then they can produce similar exceptional
results. Over the years, NLP has modeled powerful and effective communication and change work methods in a wide range
of professional arenas including counseling, coaching, psychotherapy, health, parenting, relationships, creativity, leadership,
management, persuasion, mediation, negotiation and sports performance.
